Happy Holidays :)

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving; it’s hard to believe the holidays are officially upon us. If you still have a little shopping ambition left from Black Friday, take a look at our website and you will see some new pieces from Christine available to purchase…including the way cute sylvia dress! And to spread some extra holiday cheer, until December 19th you can enter cmarchuska in the discount code area at checkout and receive 20% off your order.

Now that I’ve got your attention, I would like to share some cmarchuska happenings. Before Thanksgiving, Christine and I spoke to Professor Dominic DePersis’s International Business course at Broome Community College. The students were extremely interested in how Christine started cmarchuska, and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing the ins and outs of creating a business within the fashion industry. Christine and I are looking forward to visiting more colleges and high schools, so if you are interested in having us pay a visit to your school, feel free to send me an e-mail. Going more in depth with the college experience, I will be focusing on developing a group of cmarchuska college reps throughout the northeast to help Christine and I spread the word about cmarchuska to young people. Our “c-reps” will hold shopping parties with their friends and dorm roomies and have fun buying cmarchuska merch. Think MaryKay but for the young hip crowd ;) Again, if you want to be a college rep for cmarchuska, give me a holler!
With the holiday season comes a flood of gift guides to draw your attention to the latest and greatest gifts to give and receive. cmarchuska will be featured in a few, including the My Inspiration Lounge radio show gift segment, and ThriftyJinxy.com’s gift blog. Also, a christine dress will be raffled off as a prize at the Appel & Frank Holiday Trunk Show in California, and another christine dress is being donated as a silent auction item to benefit the Keystone Women’s Rugby League. cmarchuska's getting noticed coast to coast!

As a final thought, (and in the true spirit of cmarchuska), I would like to share some green Holiday tips that you can use and pass along to your friends and families too! (Find these ideas plus more at www.sierraclub.org)

~Send e-cards instead of mailing out a bunch of holiday cards that are just going to get canned come January.
~Make your own wrapping paper! Use old newspapers, maps, and children’s artwork. Your gift will definitely have the most character!
~Purchase LED holiday lights. These energy saving lights will save you about $50 during the holiday season (that’s enough to buy a hunter scarf for yourself! ;)
~Be sure to recycle your Christmas tree once the holidays are over. Many municipalities offer to turn your tree into usable mulch or wood chips.

That’s all for now….Enjoy the Holiday Season everyone!!!

-Sam
